Individuals enrolled in the Cigna Global Plan (an American health insurance policy) who work for specific companies can undergo a detailed, Japanese-style comprehensive medical examination (ningen dock) at our clinic using their insurance coverage. While the U.S. typically does not have a system like the ningen dock for receiving extensive examinations while asymptomatic, this plan is a special insurance policy prepared by Cigna specifically to support Japanese companies expanding into the United States.

Although the exact benefit details vary depending on the contract between each company and Cigna, it is an exceptional system where insurance generally applies to Japanese-style comprehensive medical exams—even for asymptomatic individuals—up to a set limit. For example, extensive blood tests including "tumor markers," "transnasal endoscopy (gastroscopy)," and "abdominal ultrasound examinations"—which are crucial for the early detection of digestive system diseases of particular concern to Japanese people—are also eligible for insurance benefits.

Our center is certified by Cigna as a designated medical institution where you can utilize this special ningen dock plan.

Even if you are enrolled in the Cigna Global Plan, coverage will not apply if there is no agreement regarding ningen dock (comprehensive medical exam) benefits between Cigna and your employer. Additionally, coverage conditions for family members (dependents) vary depending on the contract. Because these contract details are updated periodically, you must check in advance whether this plan will apply on your desired examination date.
